Our Quality (Daily) Physical Education Award identifies, recognizes and encourages excellence in school physical education programs.

Schools that are committed to the Quality Daily Physical Education (QDPE) and Quality Physical Education (QPE) philosophy and who meet the official standards and criteria are eligible for this prestigious award. Our Quality (Daily) Physical Education Award requires schools to assess their physical education programs based on the criteria identified in the Quality Physical Education Assessment Tool application form. Any Canadian Kindergarten to Grade 12 school can apply for the Quality (Daily) Physical Education Award Program.
What does your school receive?
The official title “QDPE” or “QPE” school
The opportunity to purchase a banner to hang in the school gymnasium and/or decals to post on your school doors and windows.
National publicity for your quality programs.
A letter of congratulations from the Prime Minister and the PHE Canada President.
A personalized Certificate with your school's name

Active Circle Communities

Seine River First Nation and Fort Frances Friendship Centre, Ontario

With the support of GEN7 messenger Kent Brown, the community is planning activities for youth and young girls.


Katarokwi Native Friendship Center, Kingston, Ontario

The community is working with Gen7 Messenger Josh Sacobie around regular visits and events with the youth and the center.


Pelican Lake First Nation, Saskatchewan 

The community's youth council has been planning and implementing a number of activities including a girls only program, outdoor sports and leadership training.


Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Circle of Newfoundland and Labrador

The ASRCNL is working with CAAWS and Motivate Canada on the You Go Girls program in 7 communities.
